Working to provide help, justice & the relief of suffering for refugees

We are a group of people from Faversham and nearby villages who work for justice & the relief of suffering for women, men & children who, forced from their homes, seek refuge from war, oppression, poverty & climate catastrophe.

Our Activities

We are proud to provide help to refugees however we can.

Our activities include:

Collecting Donations

Collecting donations of money, which we provide to charities working directly with refugees.

Continuous Support For Volunteers

Supporting those among us who go to volunteer with the humanitarian relief and solidarity efforts in France, Greece and elsewhere.

Creating Opportunities

Creating opportunities, such as market stall days, to talk with our fellow townspeople and villagers about the crisis facing displaced people.

Lobbying

Lobbying those in power to do more to alleviate the suffering of displaced people making perilous journeys and to support and welcome those in the UK as they try to rebuild their lives here.

And More

We are always open to suggestions for other activities, and we welcome your ideas. Contact us if you would like to get involved.

Upcoming Events

As well as our regular stall in Faversham Market, we often host other events and meetings.

FVRSG Summer Event

Our annual Summer Event is taking place on the 13th of June at the Abbey Physic Community Garden in Faversham.

It is a free, family event with teas, coffees, cakes, savouries and the ever-popular Pimm’s (alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties). Plus there is face painting for the children (and adults if you’re brave enough!) all for a small donation.

We will also be displaying childrens’ art from local schools at Creek Creative, produced in conjunction with Refugee Week. Come along and see some wonderful artwork produced by local children.
