Supporting Young Refugees: FVRSG’s July Market Stall for KRAN

On Saturday, July 5th, FVRSG hosted another successful market stall in Faversham, this time raising funds and awareness for the Kent Refugee Action Network (KRAN). It was a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community and highlight the vital work KRAN does to support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young refugees in Kent.

KRAN provides a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 16 to 24 who have arrived in the UK alone and are navigating the asylum process. Their services include educational programmes, mentoring, and advocacy, all designed to help these young individuals build stable and fulfilling lives in the UK.

Thanks to the generosity of Faversham residents and visitors, we raised £154.37 in donations. As part of our commitment to supporting KRAN’s mission, we will be increasing this amount to £300, which will be donated to the charity to further their impactful work.

If you’d like to learn more about KRAN and how you can support their efforts, please visit their website at kran.org.uk.

We look forward to seeing you at our next market stall, where we’ll continue working with our partner charities to make a difference in the lives of refugees and asylum seekers.
